In the fall of 2001, I created a web site, DMBWallpaper, where people could submit/download wallpapers related to the Dave Matthews Band(external link). I eventually added a forum, where a few people and I would discuss anything and everything related to life. As time went on, and my interests changed, the site was updated less and less and the posts on the forum dwindled.

This is where my photography, and Flickr (visit imagine24@Flickr(external link)), came into play, and actually expediated the demise of DMBWallpaper.net. I was paying ~$60/3months for hosting on a site that was barely being used and was never being updated. Basically, the money was going to waste. I had heard about Flickr, and investigated the free and pro versions. When I realized that the pro version was $25/year, as opposed to ~$60/3months for a site I was losing interest in, it was a no-brainer. Now, I am able to upload any amount of photos, at any size, for the world to see.

Right now, my Flickr account is only being used for my A Photo A Day project, but perhaps, in the future, I will expand its use. Keep in mind, all photos posted to Flickr, fall under the Creative Commons liscense(external link).
