These day's everywhere you look, there is a blog. There are political blogs, gossip blogs, personal blogs, cat picture blogs, you name the category, and there is a blog for it. I originally started my blog long ago, without the assistance of any software, and with very limited knowledge. Those 2 attempts did not last. They were boring and just not interesting.
After two tries, I still didn't give up and wanted to create a blog using online software, making the work on my end much easier. I searched and found the web site WordPress(external link) and from them I haven't looked back.
Sure, I have the occasional posts that are updates about my day-to-day life, but I pride myself on not having entries that talk about me simply going to the store, or specifics about my love life. I try to investigate the bigger picture, while using myself as an example to spur the conversation.
Lately, I have been using my blog to tell a different story, a story about a photo. As you can learn in my A Photo A Day section, I am now taking one photo for each day of the year. Each night, after I post my images on Flickr (read more | visit imagine24@Flickr(external link)), I post it on my blog, in addition to any "behind-the-scenes" story. This way, not only does that one photo tell a story about that moment, but I am also able to learn much more with what I write.
For now, A Photo A Day has overshadowed my other, life-related entries, but hopefully those will return soon.
