As many people can attest, playing around in Photoshop(external link) is a lot of fun. After creating this photo, I agree wholeheartedly. I decided that I would use a baseball photo that I took at a Cincinnati Reds'(external link) game and use Photoshop to create a new, unique image. This new photo would be mostly black and white, with certain parts in color. I chose to highlight the points of interest, the ball, batter, catcher and umpire. At the same time, i tried to take the focus off the grass by making it almost black, but leaving at least some sort of recognizability. Finally, I enhanced the color, added a slight shadow, and voila, you have Swing...and a miss!.
